It’s official – the corset is back en vogue. The trend has been largely driven by celebrities with a number of high profiles names, such as Kim Kardashian and Jessica Alba, crediting their hourglass figures to wearing a so- called “waist trainer” and tweeting pictures of themselves in one to boot.
Every one would by now have heard about the ‘thigh gap’ trend, the body image that sparked controversy in the last two years by showing women’s thighs with extremely large gaps as an ultimate body goal. Some women may have been born with the thigh gap naturally while others resorted to inner thigh lipo to sculpt and remove exercise-persistent fat. VASER liposuction is and was a popular procedure to achieve this look, which can also involve a technique where the fat taken from the inner thighs to be transferred into other areas of the body, like the buttocks and hips.
The body of 2015, the Instagram age - where most of the body trends are formed and quickly gained a hashtag like, #bodygoals – has just had a new leg-related trend concocted so its now time to forget about the ‘#thighgap’ and make space for the ‘#thigh brow’.
