macom® EXPLANT BRA - POST SURGICAL BRA FOR AFTER IMPLANT REMOVAL

 

This explant bra is highly recommended for those recovering from breast implant removal surgery and other similar procedures. The post explant bra is suitable for daily use.

This explant bra is a retractable compression vest suitable for implant removal without replacement. Its features include:

  • Stabilized compression vest to help mould own breast tissue into pre implant shape
  • Cups that retract while allowing balanced light expansion for swelling and aid in skin and tissue retraction
  • Moisture-wicking and fully breathable materials
  • A seamless design to prevent any rubbing or irritation

Post Surgery Bra Sizes

All macom® post surgery bras sizes are based on the band size. As macom® bras sit lower on the rib cage than everyday bras, your band measurement may differ from your usual high-street bra size, although for some cases it will be the same.

Start by measuring yourself under the bust (in inches). Add 2 inches to the total and that will be your size for post surgery bras. For example, if you measure 33.5 inches, add 2 inches to make 35.5 and then round up to 36. Your size is Large in macom® bras.

What to know about the best bra for explant surgery

With a breast removal procedure there is a slight uncertainty what the post surgical result will look like, particularly if a patient has had implants for a number of years. Having had children, nursing can add to this unpredictability.

Due to the balanced power of expansion and retraction, the explant bra cups will keep residual tissue supported and help with skin and tissue reversal.

We believe this is the best bra for breast explant surgery patients, particularly because the design has a long line body and wider straps to help optimize fluid drainage.

 

Try product on immediately upon receipt and prior to surgery. If it fits, it should fit post procedure.

Care Instructions

macom® garments are made of 90.4% Polyamide and 9.6% Elastane.

All products are 100% latex free.

They are fully breathable, hypoallergenic, and do not retain body heat.

All macom®​ products should be washed by hand, at a maximum temperature of 30°C. They should be air dried.

Bleach and fabric conditioner should never be used on the products. 

Do not tumble dry, iron or dry clean the garments as this may lead to permanent alteration of their shape and a loss of elasticity.

Do not remove stains with solvents.
